Buzzy newcomers IDER - aka Megan Markwick and Lily Somerville - have revealed their final track of 2016 in the shape of 'Million'. Drawing comparisons with the likes of Wet and Shura, the North London duo have been announced as one of The Great Escape 2017's "Firsty Fifty" acts and will play a sold-out show at London's Kamio on 22 November as well as The Line Of Best Fit's sold-out "Five Day Forecast" show with Dagny and Geowulf on 9 January. It is their knack for airy yet intriguingly beautiful and minimal electro-pop that is winning-over so many, as gently bare piano and vocal work gives way to a glisteningly contagious, 80s-inspired chorus. IDER may not quite be one in a million but they're a serious outfit to watch as we look to 2017. -G.O'B
